To navigate their site by size you can’t just enter your size in the search box like at Fans Edge Sports. Instead you have to navigate to the particular section that your interested in (t-shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts, etc…) on their team page (for men’s or women’s apparel). Click on the section of choice and then look at the menu at the left hand side of the page. It will show all of the sizes available as well as how many items in each size.

One of my favorite navigational features at Fanatics is the ability to shop by size. This allows you to filter out all the Colts apparel in their inventory that isn’t available in your size! This greatly reduces the amount of apparel that you have to browse through. When you are searching by “size” you have to follow a particular protocol however. In their search box you have to enter “Your Team + Your Size + XL”. For example if you are looking for an Indianapolis Colts 4X t-shirt you would enter “Indianapolis Colts 4XL” into the search box rather than “4X” or “XXXXL”. To avoid possible confusion I have provided links to each size that they have available for the Colts :

Amazon – I’ve always been a big fan of Amazon. For their convenience, huge selection of EVERYTHING and ease of checkout. However, as a man who needs big sizes myself (I’m a 4X) shopping for big and tall apparel at Amazon can be very frustrating. This is simply because you can’t browse through their apparel according to your size. I can’t just look at Indianapolis Colts 4X t-shirts for example. While, this isn’t a deal breaker, it does get annoying searching through pages of apparel only to be disappointed when apparel I like appears but I find out that it isn’t available in my size.
I have figured out how to filter out the big, tall, and plus sizes apart from all the Colts apparel that is only available in smaller sizes however. This makes browsing much more manageable. If you are searching for plus sizes, I would recommend Fans Edge Sports (The first store that was reviewed on this page). The search results are sporadic at best for the plus sizes.
Return policy – 30 day no hassle return policy. Not quite as long of a return policy as I would like. To make a return go to their “Return Center” on their site, print off a return label and ship the product back (in the same box if you still have it). Amazon will give you a refund in it’s entirety. I’ve never had a problem with a return in the past.
Ease of checkout – If you have shopped with Amazon before you likely already have your billing info stored with them. Not only do they save your shipping address, they save shipping addresses when you have sent gifts to your family and friends. This is quite convenient when the Holidays roll around.
Fans Edge – This is a high quality company deserving to be included on this list of reviews. Well, at least if you need big or plus sizes. They don’t have any Indianapolis Colts XLT (extra long tall) sizes at the time of this review. If this changes in the future I’ll be sure to update this. In “Big” sizes they have 2XB, 3XB, 4XB, 5XB, 6XB available. In plus sizes they have XL, 2XL, and 3XL.
At Fans Edge you can’t search or filter by size. This is one of the reasons why they are at the bottom of this list (that and they don’t have XLT sizes!) The Colts apparel is separated into categories. From there you have to click on each item to see what sizes they come in. Yes, this can be incredibly tiresome, but they do have some cool apparel mixed in there. I particularly like all the Colts tee shirts and hoodies.. They really get clever with the last name “Luck” and the Colts “lucky horse shoe” angle.
Return policy – This is my favorite perk that Sports Fanatics offers. They have a (hold on to your hats) 365 day return policy! This is incredibly generous and gives customers a huge opportunity to shop out of season, get after Christmas sales, etc… It’s nice to know that you can get some of your Holiday shopping done in February and March for the next year! (This is an excellent time to get cheap football gear on sale at this time as well!)
